Two heroes are in our portion of scripture, an unknown servant and Abigail the wife of Nabal. The servant speaks to his mistress and warns her. Acting of his warning Abigail goes and meets David who is on his way to commit a monstrous crime against Nabal and all that is his. In the passage you learn of Abigail's faith as she submits to the one who she believes is the future king of Israel. We learn of her prudence, common sense and wisdom. David finishes our study by praising God for having sent Abigail.
