Saul hunts David in the wilderness but cannot find him. Jonathan his son, David's friend knows where he is and goes to meet him. Jonathan stands out as a man of God for we find that he reminds David of the promises of God and we read "and strengthened his hand in God". Here we learn how to be a true friend.
