David slew Goliath and in the passage set we see the aftermath as victory revives the Israelite army. We see how generous God is in acting for His people despite their unbelief and sin. We don't see man's faith but God's Sovereign Grace in this passage. Dr Needham expounds several questions raised in the reading of the passage with each being applicable to the benefit of our souls.
