Lazarus, Jesus' friend is dead and his sisters tell Jesus of this. However, it is four days before Jesus comes to the sisters and his friend's grave. Mr Seaton revolves his sermon round this incident and uses it to teach us of providence of God. Here we have a demonstration of the providential working of God in their lives and he relates this to the providences that are in our own lives and directs us how we should respond to those providences.
